Happy Birthday, Luca!!

We are so happy and excited to welcome Luca to our family! He was born on April 13, 2013 at 11:01pm. He gave us a bit of a scare during the delivery, but mom and baby are doing just fine. Luca and I discharged home from the hospital on Tuesday and were able to spend a day at home with Michael and Jude. Then, Jude started having trouble breathing so he was admitted to the hospital on Thursday. Michael stayed with Jude at the hospital, while I stayed home with Luca and recovered from the c-section. Thanks so much to my parents for all their help during this crazy time!! All that to say, it has been a crazy week, but we are all home now and everyone is doing great. I am feeling much better, not a 100% yet, but definitely on the mend. Jude is doing great, his follow-up appointment with our pediatrician went great and he is back at school. He does need to continue some breathing treatments for a few more days, but other than that, he is back to his old happy self. Luca is doing great, sleeping and eating well. Michael is doing an amazing job of helping all of us get better. :) Here are some pics to enjoy!

Hello World...Long Time No Talk! :)

So, I realize it has been 3 months since my last post, but now that I am officially done with school and little Luca has decided he is not ready to join us quite yet, I have a bit of time to post. So, I am sure I won't be able to remember everything we did over the past 3 months, but I can at least provide some of the highlights through pics. 

All is going well in our world. I am all done with school and am officially Dr. Elias-Lambert. After such a long road, it definitely feels great to be done. I look forward to starting my new job at TCU as an assistant professor of social work in August. I also look forward to spending some time with Jude and Luca over the summer before work starts. Jude is doing great. He is enjoying school and seems to really like his teachers and the friends he has made. He is communicating a lot more and for as much as he understands, he seems very excited to meet little Luca. Michael is also doing well. Staying very busy at work with new responsibilities, but still enjoying his job. He is also cycling now, which he enjoys quite a bit. At this point, we are just waiting for Luca to make his appearance. :)
