DI2K :)

Long time no talk. We are now a DI2K...dual income 2 kid household. :) I am back at work and loving my job, but it definitley has made it harder to keep up with everything else, ie: blogging.

We are all doing well adjusting to our new "normal". The boys are doing well. They are enjoying daycare with their friends and the weekends full of family fun. Luca is 5.5 months old and he is growing very fast. He is a very smiley, happy baby. He is trying to learn to crawl and is eating solid foods like a champ. Jude is almost 2 years old and he is as energetic as ever. He is talking a lot and has made many new friends at school. Michael is doing well at work and has been amazing as we learn to adjust to being a DI2K household. I am doing well. I am loving my job. It is very challenging, yet also extremely fulfilling. Being a social work professor is definitely a great fit for me. I feel very lucky that everyone at TCU has been very welcoming and supportive.

Overall, we are doing well adjusting to our new "normal". We are often tired and definitely don't have enough time to get everything done, but I wouldn't change it in any way. It is a fulfilling, fun-filled, exciting, fast-paced life and I am loving it, despite the challenges.  Here are some pics to help fill you in on the last few months in our lives. Enjoy!

Beach Fun!!

We made a trip to Galveston with the Elias family in mid July. This was Jude, Luca, and their cousin, Isabella's, first time at the beach. We had a great time. The kids loved the beach and couldn't get enough of it. On our way to Galveston, we stopped in Austin and Houston to visit some friends and family. We all had a great time visiting with everyone! Overall, it was a great trip. Here are some pics of the fun!

Summer Fun!!!

We have had a great summer. Luca is growing super fast and he is doing great. He turned 3 months old on July 13 and he is already in 6 month clothes. I think he is going to have to move to 9 month clothes soon!! He is laughing and smiling all the time and he is sleeping and eating great. My favorite thing that he does is when he smiles at Jude. Jude loves it too. :) Jude is also doing great! He has had tons of fun this summer swimming and playing outside. He has also enjoyed spending time at Teta and Jedo's house. Jude is talking a lot more and has learned to drink from a cup. He also told his first lie recently. :) He is growing too fast. We are now all getting ready for me to start work in a few weeks. Jude and Luca will both start daycare full time on August 5th. I know it will be a transition for all of us, but I am looking forward to starting work and I am sure Jude and Luca will both have fun at daycare. Dr. Nada!

We have had a great summer, but it has been very busy, so I am just now getting to posting the grad pics! We had a great time at graduation and I am so happy that my family and friends were able to come help celebrate! Thank you all so much! Now, I am getting very excited as I start work as an assistant professor at TCU in a few weeks. wish me luck!
